Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has criticized Ethereum developers over a new Ethereum Foundation proposal exploring native UTXO-style payments. He argued that Ethereum is adopting concepts Cardano has spent a decade developing without acknowledging its contributions. The criticism followed a proposal by Ethereum Foundation developer Toni Wahrstätter titled “Native UTXOs on Ethereum”. The proposal suggests making payment transactions “one-shot objects” instead of permanent state entries. According to Wahrstätter, borrowing elements of Bitcoin’s UTXO model could reduce Ethereum’s permanent state usage by about 99.8% for simple payment transactions. The design would preserve Ethereum’s existing account-based architecture. Hoskinson Defends Cardano EUTXO Model Responding…

The traditional crypto exchange experience is anything but simple. You need to create an account, then verify your email, and submit identity documents. Then wait for approval and set up two-factor authentication. Deposit funds. Withdraw to your wallet. The process can take days and goes on and on before you actually own the asset you wanted. For many users, this process can be completely unnecessary. Not everyone wants to trade on margin or place limit orders. Some just want to swap one cryptocurrency for another; quickly, privately, and without the overhead of creating yet another online account.GhostSwap offers exactly that. It’s…
TLDR: Bitcoin ETFs attracted $197.4 million and ended an eight-week withdrawal streak, although the inflow recovered only a small part of earlier losses. BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $291.9 million in weekly inflows, while Grayscale, Fidelity and ARK funds experienced combined investor withdrawals. The category lost about $8.26 billion during the prior eight weeks, leaving analysts cautious about declaring a lasting institutional demand recovery. Weak trading volumes and the July 14 U.S. inflation report could determine whether the latest ETF inflows develop into a broader allocation shift. U.S.-listed Bitcoin ETFs attracted $197.4 million in weekly net inflows, ending eight straight weeks of…

Elon Musk sides with Apple in OpenAI suit, trades new insults with Sam Altman on X
Elon Musk woke up very happy three days ago when Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) sued OpenAI over claims that the AI giant took private hardware knowledge for new consumer devices. Since then, Elon has been publicly displaying his support for Apple in the case, on X, as one does. As Cryptopolitan reported previously, Apple says more than 400 former employees later joined OpenAI, naming former design executive Tang Tan as a key figure. Apple said Tang had asked employees seeking positions at OpenAI to bring genuine components, prototypes, and hardware to meetings where they can be demonstrated to others. Apple maintains…

Grewal will move into an advisory role from August 1 through October 31, collect a lump sum equal to 3 months of base salary when the advisory period ends, keep the restricted stock units scheduled to vest on August 20, and remain on the board of Coinbase…
